MBA Application and Admissions Information
APPLICATION DEADLINES
The Else School of Management offers rolling admissions for both MBA and MAcc programs, allowing applicants to apply for fall, spring, and summer terms. Completing applications by the priority deadline ensures full consideration for admission, scholarships, and assistantships.
PRIORITY DEADLINES:
Summer & Fall Terms: April 1
Spring Term: October 1
ROUND 2 DEADLINES
Summer & Fall Terms: July 1
Spring Term: December 1
APPLICATION PROCESS
To apply, complete the Graduate Application online, attaching the following documents:
1. Professional Resume
2. Official Transcripts: Submit official copies of undergraduate transcripts sent directly from the issuing institution. If applicable, include any additional transcripts necessary for a comprehensive review of prior academic work. All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution before enrollment. Transcripts may be sent electronically or by mail to the Else School of Management Graduate Admissions office.
3. GMAT or GRE Scores (when required by the admissions pathway chosen): Official GMAT or GRE scores should be sent directly to Millsaps College.
4. Admissions Essay (when requested by the Admissions Committee): In approximately 500 words, discuss the factors that influenced you to pursue a graduate degree at Millsaps College, how the degree will assist in your career, and how you will contribute to the program.
5. Letters of Recommendation (when requested by the Admissions Committee): Provide names and email addresses of two individuals to write letters on your behalf, ideally professional or academic references.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Applicants who reside in other countries OR who are enrolled in college in other countries must submit the application and required documents listed above. In addition, they must submit the following supporting materials:
• Official Evaluated Transcripts: Applicants with degrees from institutions outside the U.S. must submit an evaluation from a NACES-approved organization, verifying that their degree is equivalent to a U.S. regionally accredited institution.
• English Language Competency: Applicants for whom English is not their first language must provide TOEFL or Duolingo scores, meeting specified minimums, or may qualify for a waiver if they earned a degree from a U.S. college with satisfactory English grades.
• Financial Evidence: International students must provide proof of financial capability to cover educational and living expenses, with the form available online.
• Copy of Passport: Submission of a passport copy is required.
ADMISSIONS POLICY

AUTOMATIC ADMISSION
After submitting, Applicants may be automatically admitted to the MBA or MAcc programs by meeting the following criteria:
1. STANDARD ADMISSION

Achieve a minimum GMAT score of 530 (or GRE equivalent) *

Maintain a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2
-
Submit official transcripts and a professional resume **
2. MILLSAPS COLLEGE GRADUATES
-
Graduate with at least a minor in Business Administration, earning a grade of B- or better in each course comprising the minor
-
Achieve a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2
-
Earn a grade of C or better in Statistics
-
Submit official transcripts and a professional resume **
3. GRADUATES FROM AACSB MEMBER SCHOOLS
-
Graduate with at least a minor in Business Administration, earning a grade of B- or better in each course comprising the business minor at Millsaps College.

Achieve a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.2

Earn a grade of C or better in Statistics
-
Submit official transcripts and a professional resume **
4. DATA ANALYTICS CERTIFICATE HOLDERS

Complete the required courses for the Data Analytics Certificate with a grade of B or better in each course

Submit official transcripts and a professional resume **
*The GMAT or GRE will be waived under the following conditions if the Applicant:

Is enrolled or graduated from an AACSB accredited institution or a member of the ACS (Associated Schools of the South), AND
-
Completed a major or minor in Business earning a B- or better in the business courses that comprise the minor and earned a C or better in Statistics, AND
-
Has three (3) or more years of significant managerial or professional experience AND an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
**These documents must be evaluated and approved by the Director of Graduate Admissions or the Dean of the Else School of Management.
EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS
Exceptions to the Admissions Policy described above may be made for individuals with:

At least three (3) years of significant work experience

An undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher

Evidence of quantitative ability

Submission of official transcripts and a professional resume. These documents must be evaluated and approved by the Director of Graduate Admissions or the Dean of the Else School of Management.
ADMISSION BY REVIEW
Applicants not meeting the Automatic Admissions policy or criteria for Experienced Professionals may be asked to submit evidence of quantitative ability, two (2) letters of recommendation, and an admissions essay in addition to documents already submitted. These items will be reviewed by the MBA or MAcc Admissions Committee. The relevant Admissions Committee can take one of the following actions:

CONDITIONAL ADMISSION
Conditionally admitted students must:

Complete 9 credit hours of coursework as determined by the Admissions Committee

Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 in these courses

Complete these 9 credit hours within 12 months of matriculation
